If you’re looking for a breakdown of how good the Donburi is compared to other places... look to a different review lol. There’s actually very insightful reviews about this place, and it’s what got me to try this place. My review is purely based on what I ordered and how my stay was. Got the classic Salmon Don and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m bias cause I love salmon and salmon sashimi, but I also know what good and bad salmon tastes like, and this one was good. Honestly, as much as the salmon was good, the rice with the sauce, MMM. It was so good by itself too, but then paired with the salmon, my mouth waters thinking about it. I even ate all the wasabi and ginger too lol. On top of all that, you can doodle on sticky notes and post it on their wall, which at first feels kinda gimicky, but then again, I drew something and posted it haha. Staff were lovely, s/o the chefs. Anyway, I’d love to bring close friends to this spot if I’m ever in the area again.

Delicious rice bowls filled with grilled meats and veg. I’ve tried 4 different bowls now and each is better than the last. I can highly recommend the veg bowl and the pork bowl. The beef and eel are also good, but the former are remarkably well done; the veg and pork are cooked and seasoned perfectly. Plus I love the pickled jalapeno. Been here twice and I won’t stop anytime soon.

Spicy butadon really tastes homemade. The portion was also really good. Thoroughly enjoyed the simple flavours and ingredients. More of a takeout place as seating is limited. Edit: have tried salmon don multiple times and never disappoints! They also have a pork belly appetizer and that is also amazing :)

Cute little spot in the annex! Love their salmon don, the size was pretty generous and the bowl itself was delicious. Salmon was fresh. Will come back and try other things on the menu :)

Everything was excellent—nothing to complain about. I believe this restaurant used to be Onnki Donburi before moving to a new location and changing its name. (Relocating makes sense, but given how highly rated the old place was, why the name change?) I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Don. At first, I was a bit worried it would be like Yoshinoya’s version—overly salty, sweet, and greasy. But I was pleasantly surprised! The flavor was mild, not too salty, not overly sweet, and definitely not greasy. It even came with a boiled egg and some side pickles, which made me really happy. I have a normal appetite for a woman, but I could only finish about half in one sitting—it’s a meal that easily lasts me two servings. Healthy and delicious! I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

A place I don’t get tired of. The salmon don and vegetarian don are amazing, super flavourful and great serving size. Super quick prep time as well, around 10-15mins max every time. The miso soup on the side is just the cherry on top!

I got the salmon don, and my bf got the teriyaki chicken don. My bowl also had sliced picked radish, wasabi, egg roe, ginger, and mayo(?). The rice was covered in a sweet & umami soy sauce. Before I dug in, it seemed like there was very little food but the portion sizes left both of us comfortably full. Also this is the most salmon I've ever gotten in a restaurant meal cause each slice was so thick- some were even the size of my pinkie?? We also had miso soup with each don.

Mutiple time coming to this restaurant since they in my neighborhood, love their donburi. From eel, chicken , beef to salmon, excellent taste. Only thing to beware that if im coming there and dine in should prepare for smoke smelled shirt afterwards
